IQ??? Its a 16.1MP Sensor, the 12MP P500 has wonderful reviews, I am sure this will exceed all expectations for a bridge camera. And at $430 it will most assuredly be a big hit with 24-1000mm zoom range!

Saw the MPs. And take your point. But the 16MPs are crowded into a pretty tiny sensor. I expect you're right that the IQ will be great but I've sworn off of being on the bleeding edge of anything. If it pans out, I'll be trading in my G10 for the P510. My 100-400 could then be on the chopping block. And if that goes, so does my second DSLR body. So I'll wait and see.
