Hi all,
I hate my camera strap. For someone new what would be a good alternative? I've searched, and found something about battery grips, but I don't think that would appeal to me either?
As always, thank you for your replies!

Have a look at these, VERY comfortable to wear and very durable. I have one that is 32 years old that I still use every day.

Mine's 25 years old...I've changed cameras several times, but never the strap...I also put an OpTech strap on my camera bag after it's strap broke.

I use the UPstrap, generally the SLR/LT camera strap. They are very strong and stay in place well.

The camera straps that come with even the most expensive cameras are usually a disgrace. They are not worth the plastic packaging they come in. There are a number of excellent after-market camera straps. Many swear by the Crumpler Popular Disgrace Camera Strap (available at B & H).

I found a great strap on Amazon, called the Cowboy Strap, company by the same name. It's an over the shoulder strap, very comfortable, strong, mounts to the tripod socket. Keeps the camera at my side, out of the way and most of all safe.
