Oh boy, new buds on my lemon tree ...

A while back I posted some photos of my Carrizo Dwarf Meyer (citrus) Lemon Tree. Say that three times quickly. In Florida, you probable see these, not so much in Pittsburgh, PA. I ordered the tree online last year and it was about 12 tall when planted. Its now about 6-1/2 ft tall and starting to sprout buds. Yeah! I just took a few shots of some of the buds. There are many more on the tree. Ripening occurs in the winter months, at which time we will bring the tree indoors.
Great sharp shots Rick.Great stuff.

Thank you, Pam. I know they're only buds, but it's still pretty cool.

Thank you so much, Sylvia. That's the plan and we're sticking to it.
Pretty images, interesting tree!
Looks like their well on their way. When you get ripe lemons, post them. BTW, the Pirates don't look too good lately.

Thank you very much for your comment, Linda. It is an interesting little tree. They say you can pick the lemons and eat them without peeling because they are so sweet.

Thank you, CJ. I certainly will post when they are ripe. I think the Pirates are going to be okay. Just a bit of a slump. Looking forward to the Steelers tomorrow night.
Nice shots Rick, not familiar with this tree, is it an ornamental or can you eat the fruit?
If so, get ready to pucker!!

Thanks for the nice comment, Angela. I really appreciate it. You can indeed eat the lemons. They are a hybrid and are said to be sweet enough to eat right off the tree, without peeling the rine. Time will tell. These buds are very small, with the largest about 3/8" diameter.
