We put out stale bread every now and then for the critters instead of throwing it away. This guy decided he wanted it all by himself. Funny watching him try to get it up the tree to begin with, but once up there, he had a feast - a good crunchy garlic loaf!

Squirrels do like bread. I feed all them all every day. I buy two of the long loves of the store brand cut it in squares. I do this for the mallards in my ponds. But what falls on the ground its a race who gets there first. The squirrels, chippies, or the blue jays. I fill the feeders with bird seed and sunflower seeds. Put a large dish of cracked corn for the ducks and chippies. And plenty of peanuts for those squirrels. I also take two pieces of bread and put peanut butter on them and in the suit feeder they go. Its for the birds but you should see the squirrels hand upside down to get at that.
