Alien insect?

I found these guy in my wall. What is it, some kind of fly or what? As you can see, I'm an expert in insects :mrgreen: :lol:

It is a Robber Fly also known as an Assassin Fly from the family Asilidae.

It appears to be a midge, often confused with members of the mosquito family. The flattish stance and bushy antennae are keys.

You are right Mr. B I was a little quick on the ID. Robber Flies have very small antenna.
