The Early 1900's

Pomeroy Washington (located in the Palouse area) was incorporated in 1889. This is in the heart of the wheat growing area of Washington. Fires destroyed it twice so in 1900 the town council mandated fireproof buildings. The images show a selection of the brick buildings that followed. I hope you enjoy them.

Nicely done - the historical reference justifies the presentation style. Really nice capture of the tones that enhance the brickwork.

These remind me of the double image cards used in the old stereopticons, the forerunner of the ViewMasters and 3D camera images.

OK Larry, you had me fooled.........I was thinking that these were OLD photos but now I realize that they were not OLD photos....the cars tipped me off! Great job on the "nostalgic" look to them! The sepia tones also help and the arched frames are awesome!
