38 inches, it even says so in the manual. I've tried to print longer, but 38" is all I could get out of it. The picture stopped right at 38", although the paper was longer and not the whole image was printed.

B, do you already have the printer?
Or are you looking at buying one? ;-)

I have not purchased the printer yet, just trying to get more information first. Thanks Barry

Do you use roll paper to get 38"? Thanks Barry

As a side note....
I crop many of my images for a 4:5 ratio. I do all of my 16x20 and less prints in house with the 3880. I get precut epson paper usually in premium luster.
The 17x22 epson precut sheets work well for my 16x20 matted prints.
This printer does excellent B&W prints on premium luster paper.

Because the printer does not handle rolls, I get precut paper. I don't want to hassle with long vertical roll cuts.

I want to show my landscape photos, what type of paper is preferred for showing? Thanks Barry

Yes I use roll paper for that, even though the 3880 has no provision for that. I had to cut it and hand feed. I'm thinking of purchasing the 4900 pro (wich does has roll feed).
