What is your favorite sport pic that you have taken? This is mine! This young lady hustled her heart out for the entire game and she really wanted to play and win!

Nice pic. Right now I don't have a favorite sports pic. I didn't get a camera that was capable of capturing sports until last August and didn't have the time to make it to any of the football games around here last fall. And right now our track is being replaced so I am not sure where they are having track and field events. Guess I should look at the basketball or wrestling schedules and see what's going on.

I shoot a lot of swimming. This is one of my favorites. It has won me a few awards.
With photos like these...I am just going to read, look, and learn. Enjoying with enthusiasm, please keep 'em rolling.

Here is another swim shot. This is just after the turn as he comes up for his first breath. I think it is one of the best from the 2011 season.
This photo is exactly why professional photography will never die! You are a wonderful professional and very few can acheive your expertise.

I was sitting on the chutes, so no chance of getting run over.

Wow....both shots are awesome Captain :)
Last weekend I took my first shots using my new 70-200 f/2.8 IS II on a 5D M1. I was generally pleased with the shots, but dissapointed with the focus. I used AV priority, spot metering, Al Servo, and AE/AF, no AE Lock (C.Fn 4). Any suggestions?
f/2.8, ISO 1600, 1/250 sec. My guess is that the shutter speed was just too slow and I should use shutter priority instead and lighten in PP.
try kicking it up to 1\500 t0 1\640. have to experiment
