What program can I use to stack 8 images

I have a Nikon D5100, I took 8 images of an ant today and I want to stack them to see what I get. What free program can I try?

CombineZP is free, easy enough to use after a little learning curve (You allow it to center all the images first, then select the algorithm to stack them. I usually select "All" and choose the result I find most pleasing.) Then you have to crop off the edge artifacts which appear as a little part of the image folded over. Here is a sample output.
