I recently bought a Canon 15-85 EFS lens for use with my 40D. I know the lens has some chromatic aberration and distortion but as they always seem to say, "it's easy to fix in Lightroom". Well I am very disappointed to find that LR doesn't have a lens profile for this lens. I could not find one available for download and I looked at the process for creating one and it is well beyond my skill set.
I like this lens, but I want to get the most out of it. What are my options for quickly fixing CA and and distortion if LR doesn't have a lens profile available?

I looked in the list of lenses under the "Lens Corrections" section in the Lightroom Develop Module and the the lens is listed there.
Perhaps you are not using the box correctly --- make sure that you have the "profile" section highlighted and that "enable lens corrections" is checked under that and it will all be corrected for you.

I am running LR 3.6 and your lens is indeed listed. I found it in the develop module, Lens Correction, Profile (Enable Profile Corrections ticked), Make=Canon, Model=Canon EF-S 18-55 (2/3 way down the list)
If I have it with this version then you should definitely have it in a newer version.

Sorry about the brain fart, the 15-85 is also there 3 up from the 18-55. Again that's on LR version 3.6.
Peter,
Heaven knows I have plenty of brain farts, too. 15-85 looks an awful lot like 18-55. All you need to do is swap an 8 and a 5. I'm guessing that's why I missed seeing my lens listed in LR in the first place.

Glad you found it. Have a good one. :)

If you shoot in raw, you will have lots of lens choices.
