Focus Stack Compass

Just starting to explore focus stacking in various forms. Todays attempt utilized software control of d7100 camera using helicon focus with helicon remote tether. The three output variations do not show a great difference between them. All were cropped to a 8x10 and run thru topaz

I have been reading & looking at posts of focus stacking...it is very interesting & I look forward to trying it once I figure it out....btw these are nicely done. :)

thank you. so far I have tried hand held, xy rails on tripod, tethered control on tripod from computer, tethered control from android phone. the method today is by far the simplest for me. I have a cheap set of bellows to try and a combination of software to play with. Once I find reliable method with repeatable results that preying mantis in the back yard is in my sights
