I am looking for best quality Micro 4/3 or APS; light weight enough to carry; range of available lenses (wide angle zoom, macro, fast normal), and the best possible image quality, for large blow-ups; shooting mostly nature, scenic, street, macro. As close to DSLR quality as possible. Thanks.

How would you compare that to the Fuji X1-Pro?

Em1 or gh4
If you don't need weather sealing, then the em10 or gx7
If you don't need a viewfinder (but can get one with the addition if a vf4) the ep5

As for lenses, I recommend any of the following:
7.5mm f3.5 manual fisheye
12-40mm f2.8
20mm f1.7
25mm f1.4 or 1.8
45mm f1.8
75mm f1.8

My two lens goto is the 12-40 and 75...add the 7.5 for a three lens kit

My lightweight lens combo is the 20 and 45...add the 7.5 for 3 combo

My favorite lens is the 75 or the 7.5...both lenses produce spectacular results on my em1.

Good camera, but the AF is a bit sluggish when compared to the em1. I'm assuming you meant to say the xt-1

Exactly right all the way down the line. OMD E-M1 with the above-mentioned two lens combo is my favorite m4/3 kit. Spectacular results, great and fast autofocus! :D :thumbup:

I like my E-M1 because of its size and less expensive lenses. I don't think you give up much IQ compared to APS-C.

IQ = sensor capability + image-processing software + x.
X = user aptitude.
The Olympus has TruePic VII software, which is cutting edge. It's really excellent. :D :thumbup:

Read the Ming Thein review on Google... This camera is a difference-maker.

If you want micro 4/3 look at the suggestions you're getting from the Olympus users here.

If you want APS-C sensor look at the Fuji X-T1 and the Fuji X-E2. There are lots of excellent reviews and blogs about Fuji X-Series cameras and lenses. Here's a few to get you started ....... but make your own choice and don't be swayed by people here on this forum, including me ! They're mostly suggesting what's right FOR THEM !

You asked about the X-Pro 1 - fantastic camera, great sensor, great image quality, and you can get them cheaply now, new or used, but read this comparison with the X-E2 .....

The XF lenses are firstclass .......

Have fun !!

I came across this last night - "Best Mirrorless Camera." It's not a traditional "pocket" camera, but it's good quality.

My Best Current Choice. I have the Olympus micro 4/3 E-pm2, and prior had the E-PL5. Sold the E-PL5 to get the E-pm2 which is a bit smaller. Then got the VF4 addon viewfinder.

Don't need the weatherproofing or the 5 axis IBIS of the EM-1 but wanted the same sensor and process engine. Also wanted a body I could strip down to P&S size using a pancake lens, or near, for Cargo Pants or light jacket pocketability.

Hence almost everything found in the EM5 and EM1, but strippable to P&S size. At last a camera that goes everywhere I do. Considering having it surgically tethered to my body and adding a Marsupial pouch.

And for lenses... well here's what fits, and the bulk of these lenses are auto function.

http://hazeghi.org/mft-lenses.html

My choice for the near pancake lens is the new 14x42 EZ zoom which is quite thin... much thinner than the RII kit lens. This combo is almost shirt pocket, definitely jacket and cargo pant/shorts pocket.
