When you're in the middle of a protest and trying to find the leaders(instigators) its very easy to get carried away. I'm not saying the police were right or wrong all I am saying is the media only shows one side. When you watch a game show or a talk show on televsion and they show the audience; that does not mean that the audience is at the particular place at that time. It could be dubbed in. The media isn't or unable to show everything that's going on.

I the picture I mentioned that the lady with phone-camera took clearly showed (from her position on the sidewalk) two officers
standing next to their car and on the other side of the car was the photographer. Now if the photographer and the officers are all looking in the same direction, toward the crowd, it can very well be stated that the photographer was not in with the crowd.

You don't know and I don't know what was going on. Maybe she said something to them or maybe the police wanted to get in the news. This is pointless and I am done with this thread.

it is rather scary seeing this happening more frequently with cops telling bystanders that they are not allowed to film, still or video, anything that they are doing despite them all being out in the open in public. Hope it is not slowly turning into a police state. It's also reassuring to see that our liberties are at least being held up in the courts. Another thing that bears paying attention to is the many cases in the last few weeks or months of military exercises being carried out along with cops in big cities at night with helicopters landing on tops of buildings and in parks etc.

When has that ever happened before and why would there be a need for such a thing and why is it going on all over the place all of a sudden from LA to Miami to Boston and many other big cities. Just go and do a search and take a look at all this, is there something we are not knowing, coming along?

yeah it's called fear and our respective political processes and powers that be are promoting it. Why you ask? Well because "we the people" are starting to wake up and realize the "emperor" (this is a metaphor folks) has no clothes......so how do you keep a large population under control.......scare em.

It is, or so it seems. What is that saying??: "An armed populace is a country of citizens, and unarmed populace is a country of subjects." Or something very similar. Stock up on your "supplies" boys and girls; I am afraid we are in for a rough ride very shortly.

Worse than a police state. The fraud in the White House early on wanted a 20,000 man "police force" that answered only to the President of the United States. Another leader had such a "police force." Adolf Hitler. How the hell do you spell GES-TOP-O?

The ad at the bottom of the page for this thread cracked me up. Don't know if it changes constantly, but it said "police officer training". Not sure how to take that... (looks like it changes with every view-when I went back it was gone. Ah well)

"The Eugene jury last Monday awarded Schlossberg $4,083 for injuries suffered as a result of Solesbee's excessive force and $1,500 for pain and suffering. The city also will pay about $200,000 for Schlossberg's legal fees, Regan said. "

... the only people who 'won' here were the lawyers!
That money should have come out of that cops pay, not from a fund created by taxpayers to protect the cops who are abusing the taxpayers.
