So exactly what is it that Nikon and or Canon does not want us to know?

The thing that attracted me to this forum was the question above.
So have at it , I as a shooter of over twenty five years would like to know.
I am a Nikon fan, always have and always will be,
I am currently using Nikon D3x, and D800.
Would never consider changing.

In this case the assumption is that there is something that the two companies do not want us to know. However, there is not support given for this assumption.
