My First Posts. Moon and a Friend
I was at my daughter's house in Southborough, MA this past week and we had several visits from a couple of little furry friends. This picture I especially like because it looks as if he is saying "OK paparazzi, go for it!" I did get a shot of two together but it was not that good. The second shot of the moon (I know, another moon picture) was from last night in So. Cal. I am posting this one because it was one of my first test shots with my new Sigma 150-500. Canon SL-1, Manual, 500 mm, ISO 1600, Stabilization on 1, 1/2500, f6.3, spot metering, standard effect, AWB and most importantly completely hand held without any support. If you can zoom it is worth it. I like the lens. The third picture is of a wall behind my daughter's house that dates back to the 1700's sometime.
Very enjoyable series!
I agree with your assessment of what it looks like the fox is thinking :)
Very sharp moon shot. How wonderful you're enjoying the lens so much.
Being from Maine, I'm familiar with all the centuries-old rock walls, so many overgrown by woods now. Nice shot!
Thanks for feedback. Cheers.

I disagree - I think the fox is hungry and is waiting for you to turn away so he can pounce! :)
Nice set, loved the moon with the Sigma. I love my 170-500 BIGSIG too :)
I am really now conflicted. I got the Sigma 150-500 for my 50D (and soon to also be 1DII) that I have at my house in Montana. I really wanted the Tamron 150-600 but did not want to wait any longer. However for my camera at my house in California I will probably wait for the Tamron since I have more variety in lenses there and the Sigma would only be a mild boost over my Canon 100-400. The dilemma now is for my Nikon D600 (as posted before). I only have the lenses that came with it from Costco which is a max of 300mm. The Sigma is nice but probably waiting for the Tamron is still a better plan since I am in no hurry.
Nice.
I'm always fascinated by dry stone walls.
Nice shots, Mike! Love the fox!
