I am new the UHH and must say I enjoy reading the posts, at least most of them. I have enjoyed photography since the 70's. I started with a Pentax Super Program back then and now shoot a K5. I stayed with Pentax because I was able to use all my old glass, and just prefer Pentax over Canon or Nikon. Crap I just opened a can of worms there! I know they are all good, it just comes down to personal preference. Looking forward to sharing advice and ideas.

Welcome to the Hog forum. You and your Pentax are most welcome. Don't believe any of the purported Nikon/Canon/lesser types of cameras nonsense you might have heard about. We just do that in a pretend fashion to make the forum interesting. In reality all of us own Nikons.

Welcome to UHH RB7, glad you joined us. The camera you use is your choice. If you feel comfortable with it and it does the job you want it to do that's all that matters. Have fun and enjoy the forum.

RB7: welcome - from one very happy and very dedicated Pentax user.
There are other Pentax members on UHH and this get some. Canon and Nikon people confused. I use a K5 and K01, but recently advanced to the new K3, which surpasses anything on the market in it's price class.

Welcome, I use all types of cameras, I put more stock in photographers than the camera, main thing is to have fun, and let the rest of the stuff roll off your back!

A friend in camera club has a couple of pentax cameras as well pentax lenses. He garners many contest winners. It is hard for the canon and nikon as well as one leica guy to see! Learn to use your stuff and enjoy what you do. If you win a contest just thank your judges and pentax and know you can be a winner as well as the other guys and gals !
