If you are waiting for a D7100 only, you might be without a camera for quite a time. Crazy might be a better bet.....

They'll get it built after Sony starts mass producing a new sensor for it! ;)

Than you shouldn't go crazy! I wouldn't hold your breath. I'm hoping to see the new Canon 1DX soon but I've heard that they have already delayed it another month. I'm not holding my bready.
