Was playing with ideas for a book cover about baseball. The horizontal image became the front cover... with words added, of course. The vertical image became the graphic for the autograph page for those who read the book. The book was made for a young man whose disabilites precluded him from actually playing the game, but oh, is he ever a baseball fan.

Nice shots. I am not a major fam of the glove getting cut in half in the second shot, but I still like them. Makes me want to reach out and pick up the glove and mitt and play some catch.

That cut-in-half glove image bothered me too at first, but the intention was to capture what I started with on the photo book cover and bring the outfield grass into play later in the book. I figured that the autograph page might be the place to sneak it in. The other pages of the 20 page book were filled with major league players from four different 2011 teams.

Yeah I could kind of understand why you had it that way. If I loved baseball as much as the young man you talked about I would love it no matter if that glove was cut in half. I think you are right the autograph page would be the place to sneak that in. It probably isn't noticible as much because the book is bound and if it's autographed then the autographs are what is going to be looked at. (At least I tend to look more at the autographs in the books I have than what else is on the page with them.)

If possible, when he gets an autograph, get a picture of him and the player. Reduce it and mount it in the book.
If you mount pictures, the book may need to be able to adjust the amount pages that are in the book (pictures can take up a lot of thickness).

I made the book using MY Publisher, an Internet book publisher. So, the pages are flat.

Suggestion for the last page!

A play at home plate where the runner slides in, the catcher tags him and the Umpire gives the signal, calling the player "OUT!"

Or..The players greeting each other in line, after the game.

The players don't greet each other after the game like they used to do. I think they should bring that back.

But back to the photos ..... I think they are very good and the autograph photo will become background to the actual autographs.
