I have been looking for a wide angle lens for my T3i. I have an attachment one but it's horrible, but I can't seem to find a wide angle lens that's not under $1,000. Also would buying a fish eye lens suffice for a wide angle as well?

Take a GOOD look at the new Canon 10-18mm lens at $299, very nice for the price. It is all plastic same as the 50mm F1.8 lens so don't drop it, but images are very good.

I have a Canon 10-20 wide angle and really like it. Very sharp.

Sigma 10-20mm F/4-5.6 second hand $200-$300
Sigma 10-20mm F/3.5
Tokina 11-16mm F/2.8
Sigma 8-16mm
These are all good lenses.
Brand new the range is about $450 to $750 or so.

Have to agree with MT on this one. This lens is getting great reviews and you can't beat the price.

Is this lens automatic focus?

What he said! I just bought this NEW Canon Wide Angle lens for my 7D and I love love love it! An Ultra Wide Angle for a crop sensor with Image Stabilization at a very reasonable price. It isn't an "L" series lens, but it doesn't feel like a "cheap" lens either. Has very quiet STM focus which is great for video as you can't hear it in your videos as it changes focus. I bought mine through Adorama and they have a deal where you get the lens and a UV filter plus a nice cleaning kilt in a little case all for $299 (same price as buying just the lens itself). Check Ken Rockwell's review (and others). It's getting rave reviews for a reason. Half the price of the Tokina or Sigma variants (both which I was considering before I saw they have come out with this gem!) and I've seen reviews that suggest it has better IQ than even the Canon 10-22 that is twice the cost.

Tokina 11-16mm or 12-28mm zooms are made for crop frame and both come in canon mount. Tamron 10-24mm. Prices range from about 450 to 650.

Bower/Rokinon/Samyang (same company) have several also, cheaper, but, manual focus.

I own the Tamron 10-24 and love it. Got it here for $300.00. I shoot all my landscapes with it.

Take a look at the Tokina 11-16. Nice lens. The Canon recommended above has a very good price.

I have a Tamron 10-24 on my T1i and am really happy with it.
I use it for photographing interiors and landscapes.

Unless it's a very old model, I'm not aware of a Canon 10-20 mm. There is the EFS 10-22 mm and the new 10-18 mm. Which do you have?
