Adding some new pictures so I will know what to do and what to avoid next time.

Please take this as constructive criticism:
#1 - a mess. I don't know why you would take a photo of a building through a rack of trees. Vehicle on the lower left is a distraction. Just overall an odd composition.
#2 - more aesthetically pleasing
#3 - appears to be a bit tilted to the right - suggest cropping out the area at the foreground below the level of the stairs.
Hope this helps.
First off - thanks for adding the pictures. I have had a couple of trips to Europe in the last two years and was surprised at the beauty of Germany. In your first picture to me there is too much -telephone wire, trees, van, church...You want to narrow your subject down, maybe just the steeple, or church windows - try to get an uncluttered look. May not ba able to get all. #2 is much nicer - the houses on either side frame the steeple, maybe more zoom. #3 - nice one subject picture. Maybe a little higher crop to get rid of buildings at bottom and may lack a little sharpness. That far away make sure in automatic or manual that you have a sharp focus on your main subject. This of course is only my personal opinions - others may well differ.
Thanks for the comments. I took the first picture because it was the only angle I could get. Since we were in Europe I wanted as many shots as possible. Think it can be cleaned up?

Just short of having those trees physically removed, I don't think that particular one would be worth the effort. I know sometimes the perfect shot isn't available and that can be very discouraging. But, be assured another opportunity will come along.
I know that is true. Sometimes I just can't resist, especially when I will probably never be there again.
I guess the van in the first image could go as it is just a transient feature but the trees are what you saw, slhunky, and is where you were on this trip, so leave them intact.
Why be a 'pixel pusher' that only looks 'AT' a photograph trying to find tiny flaws; join those of us that look "INTO' an image and let our imaginations flow free.
It is one thing to spot-heal or clone out the result of dust on your lens but remove the trees? Why?
I am not saying that when one is at a location one shouldn't explore different viewpoints but the chosen ones should be the ones that 'say' something as a whole even if only to you who paid a few thousand bucks to travel there!
Thank you for your input. Sometimes I, or we, just don't have other options. And, this is something and someplace I willl probably never see again.
You have labeled one image as being shot in Zurich, (Switzerland) Out of interest would you tell us in which cities the other two images were shot?
Thanks
The photo of the tower is in Mannheim. The church, I can;t remember.
the top photo looks so familiar to me. was it taken in Weisbaden? or mainz? or maybe Nack? In the first photo you could easily photo shop out the telephone line. and possibly the van. I would leave the tree's because they are kind of cool looking. a different kind of tree.
Will try to search through other photos too see if I can find the answer. It will take a while.
see if you had GPS on your camera that would be cool. you would know exactly where they were taken! haha
Yeah, just read about a camera that does that for you. But, then my cell will too.
#2 would be better if you could lighten up the two buildings....
