Ellis "A" Style Mandolin that I've had the pleasure of playing over the past year. It sounds every bit as woody and delicious as it looks!
The top on #1 is Adirondack Spruce. The dramatically flamed sides on #2 are Sugar Maple.
Shot at dawn in the living room with the sun creeping in the window... Sony A900 and Zeiss 24-70mm f/2.8 at about 50mm with no flash.
Nice captures of a beautiful instrument. Ain't nothing wrong with 'woody'....
Beautiful, Adlerburg. Enjoyed a lot.

First one is pure art! Congrats!
Here's a shot of that beautiful Sugar Maple back.
Oh! Pretty. I'll ditto my own message of earlier.... Ain't nothing wrong with woody.
Adlerburg! Just heard your link! Nice sounds! Beautiful instrument! Nice Pix! Reminds me of concerts that I went to many moons ago, in my younger days! A place called, " the BarnArts Center, in Delran, NJ - mostly hard rock, few ballads - some famous artists - Jimmy Smith, Astrud Gilberto, Errol Garner. Closed down because they interfered with the local church choir practice during the week! Pity! Did you go to Woodstock?
