I seem to be having focus problems when taking bird photo's. These are the last one's I took. I guess maybe it just takes getting to know your camera and practice.

Ptw, these look great to me! I was having the same problem with my other camera, I don't think I was fast enought on the shutter button, and most of the time had blurrs. So deleting I would go. Now with the sx50hs, I don't have to get so close to the birds, so I'm able to at least get some bird shots.
That was the reason I was focusing on flowers and bugs, they don't move!!
But these look great!

Paula, I just downloaded one of your birds to check out your camera data. 1/250 is a bit slow shutter speed for bird photography. For perching birds, it's usually a good idea to have your shutter speed set at least 1/400 and way more so for birds in flight. The faster the better. You get more keepers that way. You might want to increase your ISO a little and set your aperture to f/8 so you can get by with a higher shutter speed. Also aim for the eye if you're not already doing that. I shoot most all my birds in shutter priority mode. I know a lot of folks don't think that's the thing to do, but it's always worked for me.

I actually think these are pretty good shots
Just remember you have to have shutter speed
higher to catch birds in flight. You are doing great! :)
