I took the steps from the FAQ page:

- Click "Create New Topic" for a new topic or "Reply" for posting in an existing topic.

- Type in the text of your message.

- Preview the text (if you want). You can skip previewing.

- Once you are ready to attach a picture, click the "Browse" button (below).

- Select the image file on your computer and hit OK/Open button in the file dialog.

- If you are uploading an image for which you would like to show a high resolution version along with the downsized copy, then enable the "store original" option. Otherwise, please keep it unchecked. (This is really only needed for panoramas that would otherwise get shrunk to a tiny thumbnail. For all regular pictures, leave it off.)

- Enter the description of the file in the respective field (left).

- Do not click the Preview button once your images are attached. Otherwise, they'll get discarded.

- Click "Send" to submit your post along with the picture.

- If uploading large images, then after clicking the Send button please allow some time for the image upload to complete. Your browser would indicate that the operation is still in progress.

If you happen to be using Internet Explorer 9 and experience difficulties uploading images, then please try enabling "compatibility mode" in your browser.

Make sure your picture is in JPG, GIF, BMP, or PNG format. Otherwise, it will be added as a file attachment without being displayed on the page.

If you are embedding a picture hosted on a remote site (by using the img tag), please make sure the width of the image is not greater than 600 pixels.

On the other hand, if you are attaching a picture using the steps outlined above, then no need to worry about image size. The board will resize it automatically.

If for some reason your pics didn't go through, then please don't create another post for the same images. Instead, click "Add New Attachment" link at the bottom and try adding your image files again.

If you are trying to attach a picture just using the pics on your computer and the board has to resize it it can take awhile for it to resize them and upload them. At times if I don't want to wait I go into my pics I want to post and resize them myself because I can do it quick. I then save them as a reduced copy of the image and in a folder called reduced images and then attach them and they upload quick.

Personally I always compress my photos at least 30% with Photoshop after resizing to 1280 size. Uploads really quickly. If someone want the original pic they can ask and I'll send them the monster.

for me to email pics I have to go 30-40 percent but to upload to net I usually go 50 percent and it uploads fine. If you are trying to post photos here DO NOT HIT PREVIEW or it erases everything that you wrote to post.
