I have a 6x8 Wacom Tablet! I used it for designing websites. It's one of those tools that can save you hours of work if setup correctly. I've since changed jobs and no longer use it. If you are interested, I can give you a great price on mine. Like all of my electronic gear, it's in mint condition. Let me know if you'd like more details.

I have one, I haven't used it since I upgraded the size of my monitor, can't get it to sync correctly with it. :(

I loved it when it worked.

I have a 4" x 7" Wacom tablet that I do not use anymore. I find its small writing surface just too small. But they are nice to use for photo rendering. Some day I will spring for a larger one, but not for awhile. Best deal with mine was, I got it on sale for $79 and it came with the Full version of PSE 9, so it was pretty much worth the price just for the free software.

I have the Intuos 4, and find it to be almost essential to do post processing work with. It takes a while to get used to using a stylus over a mouse, but the pressure sensitivity and smooth lines make all the difference , to me. I also use it for free hand drawing, so that aspect makes it invaluable.

i have been using the intuos 4 medium tablets since they came out. i love them..i haven't used a mouse for at least 5 years now.

i also have the bamboo in my laptop bags for travel...they work really well also.

it takes some time getting used to them..won't happen over night...but after you do get used to them, you will put your mouse down forever.

i have to say, if i remember, took me about 3 weeks to get used to the pen. i am half italian and half irish, so it takes me longer to learn anything.

using the computer for 8 hours a day in my day job and then most of the evenings in my side photgraphy/graphics biz...the mouse was causing me tendonitis. i went toa physical therapist..and he recommended the pen instead of a mouse. so i learned to use a tablet because i had to. i remember at the time, i had a wacom graphire4 tablet with mouse and pen..and mostly used the mouse.
anyway, i am 59, and the pen is the one tool i would never give up now. plus, it feels more natural.

to use one..you have to force yourself, you'll be happy afterwards that you did, but the change wasn't easy..at least for me.

retouching is so awesome with a pen!!

Have an Intuos 4 model PTK-640 for every computer in studio, could not run photoshop without them. We have found the controls and size of this tablet to be perfecto!

I wouldn't be without my Wacom Cintiq. I use it especially for digital art.

I have a small one. Would have a larger one except for desktop space. I love it and would die without it. I use it for working on photos and often use it inplace of the mouse for regular work.

I bought one, but could never get the hang of it. So there it sits along with some other "must haves". Lol. That's photography!

Hi Question here.
I have been told the Wacom Bamboo Contrast is a good value. I shoot all JPEG/RAW and do my editing with CS 5 and Lightroom Version 3.? can I use the tablet to my editing with a stylus?

I've had my 6 x 8 tablet for over 4 years now and love it. It takes a little getting used to, but does a fantastic job once you learn how to use it.

I usually buy myself something for Christmas each year and I bought a Wacom Bamboo. No I haven't figures out how to use it either, but since I'm retired, if I can get my husband to stop using my Laptop Computer, I may find time to play with it. Lol Good Luck, maybe some of you can give us newbies ideas how to use one.
