Has anyone purchased from buyherephoto ? To get a $2300 canon 5d mk ll and a $1300 canon 28-300 lens plus all kinds of other equipment for a grand total of $1,324 just makes me wonder if it's to good to be true.I'm willing to give it a shot if any of you has a good story about these guys.

I read the link..that's a hell of a sales pitch! I'd call the toll free no. first and ask questions. No, I've never purchased from there.

If you type in canon 5d mkll you get a list from $1200 to $2700,I see no difference from any site except the price.

Google buyherephoto and read the caveats, especially thoughts-of-Dave. "Buyerbeware" should be their slogan.

according to the review forums, you place your order and a couple of days later they will call you and tell you:
A.) they are out of stock but have XYZ in stock for a few dollars more. next thing you know you have been sold a lesser camera but because of all the hidden fees and add ons this company likes to charge (battery, battery charger, etc are NOT included in the sale it seems) it has cost you more than it would at BestBuy.
B.) the camera you ordered is an "international" model and the US model is more money (closer to retail value) but you need to purchase the battery, battery charger, etc and the next thing you know that great deal on a 5D MKii just cost you more than buying it from B&H (where the battery, battery charge, etc are all included in the price).
It's a scam, a quick google search reveals it. You are not going to find a 5D MKii for more than $1000 off suggested retail price. Even used ones go for around $1,800.

I Googled the site and they are a 'bait and switch' outfit. Did not read anything good about them. Link after link with nothing but complaints.

I also read the Thoughts of Dave reviews. So good to review before purching. This is a dishonest company. I agree, you have to pay more but companies like B and H are reputable and will back their products.

Looked at the site and the prices look very good. Wonder where they are located? Think I will wait and see if there is any feed back on them from others.

Checked the web site reviews. It looks like a really bad operation that everyone should stay away from!
