This was a random shot of a lonely man sitting all alone at a table. Comments and critiques are appreciated.

IMO, you took the processing too far.

Walt, I agree with CaptainC. You had a fine looking subject but went overboard. If this was an HDR set, I believe you would have done much better working on a single exposure. And unless this fellow was sitting in really dark shade, I wouldn't see the need for HDR in the first place.

Your processing is not very flattering to the subject... I don't think he would approve at all at how you made his skin so greasy- and sickly-looking in this photo.

However, it is a nice composition.

Thanks for your feedback I see what you mean. I am still trying to learn how to get just the right amount of processing and not go overboard. Your comments are much appreciated.

Sorry, way over-done for my taste.

Thanks, Bob for your comments. I was trying to learn how to use my stacking software for Macro and decided to see what it would do with this photo. I can see now that it was too much. I appreciate your advice with this.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting. It helps me learn what to look for when processing an image.

Thanks for commenting and I agree it is too over-done. Lesson learned.

It would be nice to see the original photo - or at least with minimal PP. It is a good photograph, and perhaps you were going for the watercolor look, but I think the photograph itself is good enough not to need that much PP. I agree that it might look nice in B&W as well.

Thanks, Steve for your comments. I will re-post it as a B&W to see what everyone thinks about that version.
