had one of those rare (around here, anyway!) sunny days in winter, so i headed for the park... not a lot going on, but i got a couple of nice shots of this little killdeer foraging along the shoreline...

Nice clarity, especially on your first shot, love the reflection!

I had never heard of a Kill Deer bird of any kind. When I saw your headline, I had to come and check it out. You captured that little bird, great shot! Kill Deer around this house hold, reall means Kill Deer the four legged kind. Lol What area do you live? Thanks for sharing.

i live in Washington. killdeer got that name because their call sounds like a high-pitched "kill-deer, deer, deer".
