I took the last elephant that I posted and cropped it, and I made the elephant in the background disappear. Is it better?
Didn't see anything wrong with the 1st photo. This one is great also.

   Works for me. Thanks for showing.
Thank you. I thought that this would make it stronger. I don't like to crop my pictures, I like to put them full frame. I guess that doesn't help with making a strong composition. I was looking at the last picture and I was thinking how I could make it stronger, so I cropped it a bit and took out the other elephant. I felt funny cloning out the other elephant, but when it was out, I liked the picture.
Do any of you have problems with making changes to your photos? I admit that it wasn't a change in the major focus, but how do you feel?
I love it! You had such pleasing, attractive lines and shapes in this particular elephant, along with interesting textures, and great detail - including those eyelashes :) Now there is no distraction!
I appreciate and admire your desire to get it composed perfectly in the frame, and most definitely this practice helps make everyone better photographers, but sometimes circumstances don't quite cooperate.
IMO it is not "cheating" to make changes in pp, whether just cropping, or something major. Whatever the result that you choose to share is your artistic interpretation.
