My brother has been trying to do an intervention on me, if you consider accusing me of being a lens addict (8) a real intervention. However, I am taking him seriously, for the first time in my life, and took the first step of my self-imposed 12-step program. I sent back my newly-purchased Tamron 28-300mm lens and ordered a Canon 6D camera. I'm so proud of myself!

Looks like you're about to replace one addiction (lenses) with another addiction (camera bodies).

It IS easier than I thought. I just log on to B&H, see something I want, click on it, and they send it to me! Isn't that nice?

Tell your brother to mind his own business and get a girlfriend or hobby to occupy his time instead of interceding in your. LOL

I hope that you have a deep pocket friend/spouse/parent to support your addiction. :-P :-P

Is he the guy who was singing loudly in church "Jesus loves me yes I know, my Canon tells me so" indeed some of us become zealots.

I look at my gadget stuff... projects to nowhere... design and make something for the camera... just cause I thought of it... this month it is Macro stuff... finding a driver for my old QX3 Intel Microscope.. hours of wasted time... buying a ct' Digital Photography #16 30 8x12"pages on macro.. the $17 (tax you know)... I am a knowledge junkie as well as gadgets...for what.. at 78 I will no longer climb mtns... become a world famous photographer, wont happen... and yes that 200 sheets of RedRiver matt that just arrived this week ,, for me that is a life time supply.. HELP ADDICTION come in different finishes, gloss, metalic, matt aaaggh!!!
