DPReview has an article which repeats what has been said here on UHH many times. It's worth a few minutes to read. This individual really went into detail.

Would you want to go within 100 miles of someone like the 'bride' in this case? I think I'd start at $10,000. She'd need to pay me a LOT to work for her.

Nikki W's answer is, shall we say, mathematically disputable -- she's got a REALLY cheap lawyer and accountant, but she seems to be overpaying for internet -- but equally, there are those who've weighed in on the bride's side who are at least equally unrealistic.

A lot depends on how much money you want to waste on a potlatch wedding. Frances and I were happy just to get married, with the intention of staying that way (30 years next anniversary). It's all very simple. If you don't want to pay prices you regard as too high, DON'T. But don't whinge about those who think differently, be they photographers or customers.

Cheers,

R.
