This morning I left a doctors appointment and discoveres this guy on the roof of my car. I figured that it whuld leave when the car started moving. (The gekos always do this.) I drove the 4 miles to my house and when I got out there is was. It had just moved onto the rear window to get out of the wind. So, of course I had to snap it. I have no idea what kind of lizard it is. It's different than the local geckos I see every day.

It looks like an anole, commonly called an American chameleon. Something got its tail at one time.

Thanks, The bright green really stood out on my white car. It wasn't acting chamelion like. Maybe white isn't in it's inventory. I guess I have a new neighbor now. It departed my car.

Great shot Walt, always amazed how they hang on. This is a green anole, the only anole native to the US, also called a chameleon, since it likes to change colors

Thanks for checking it out. I ran in the house grabbed the camera nad snapped 2 shots. then posted on the hog, no PP. I knew someone would know what it is. I have lived here about 12 years now and that was the first anole I have seen. Wonder if I will get to see it again since I dropped it off at my house.

The broken off tail should grow back to its original length.
Magic!
