This is probably my favorite all time lens for landscapes.

I just got another FX and a 17-35 that will take the place of this lens.

Comparing prices at B&H
Priced at $600+ in the used department. 9+

Box is silver but research it and that is the only way it came, not Gray market. Has a US serial number.

Box, bag, caps, shade
Pictures on request when I get them here in a bit.

Waterfall F16 D300

River scene F14 D600, yes it works from about 17mm to 24.
The D600 was set to full frame.

Depth of field from the lens to infinity darn near!

Let me try again because these are killer sharp on a 24 inch monitor.

no, it is a real lens
yes, it is an unreal lens

were these shot with D300 and D600?
Was the 600 in fx mode at f14?
Does it have to cover the full frame edge to edge, or can we skip the corners?

It is a Nikon DX. Which are real lenses the focal plane is just targeted to the DX size sensor.

In the description I stated the waterfall was a D300 and the river scene was with my D600 but failed to say it was set to full frame.

It will vignette below about 17mm but in a crunch I was still using it.
If you want nice shaded corners I guess you could go below 17mm, lol or crop that out and use more of the center.

No, I do not use crop DX mode in the D600. I would rather shoot full frame and then crop out what I want. With the reduced noise of the D600 I still think I get less doing that than with the D300 which was not too noticeable.

This is a really nice lens, in good shape, not abused carefully cared for with TLC.
I'm only selling because I cleaned out my DX lenses, kept the D300 for now and have my all around 16-85 on there for a backup on long trips.

I have reconsidered and really like this lens. I am teetering on selling or keeping it for the D300.

Judging by the B&H used price, which may not be selling, after today I will price mine at $575 and "sit on it" well not really but will put it back in the back up bag.

They have several and this is every bit a 9+ condition.

Like the hawkers say, TODAY ONLY $475 shipped
paypal for instant gratification. Ended midnight 7/30

Maybe I will repost it later.
