I am using PSE-9 on my Mac, and its Organizer to catalog my photos. Does anyone know a way to move copies of selected images from the Organizer to another location outside of the Organizer, e.g. to the desktop or another folder? I don't want to remove it from the Organizer. but duplicate and move it. Maybe I am just stupid or something. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Did you try right clicking the selected pics and copying them to your clipboard and then pasting them where you want them?
I'm pretty sure the Organizer just points to where the photo is actually stored. I don't believe deleting from the Organizer deletes the actual image.
Yes, simply right click on an image, on the menu click
"copy". Then go to the file where you want the image,
right click again and click "paste". The image should be copied in your new folder.
You can do this one image at a time or by surrounding groups of photos and follow the same procedure.
Good Luck
Sorry, guys but none of your suggestions work. Anyhting else?

Are you using the "Organizer" in PSE9 or something on the Mac? I have Windows PSE9 and I can do just as I described from the "Organizer" in PSE9.
I am using "Organizer" in PSE9 om my MAC.
Then if you can't move them like I have mentioned, it's a Mac problem and I can't help you there.
Thanks anyway, flytyer57!

Go to
http://prodesigntools.com/pdf/Adobe_Photoshop_Elements_9_Guide.pdfThis is a free guide, though I'm pretty sure you should already have one. Go to section 9, it tells you how to export images. You can save them in PDF format or as JPEGs, at the very least.
Two minutes with Google searching for "export photos photoshop elements 9"
