Why do you think my nic is "~ " !?
(aka: "tilde" )
I literally can't remember my own name sometimes ;)

(Not long ago, daughter calls to ask me my address because she wants to list me as emergency contact for grand-daughter's school. I couldn't remember my OWN address and I've lived there SEVEN years!! *blush*)

Personally I love picasa - they just added picnik not long ago and I go spastic with that program. You can do wonders with picasa and the best part is once you've applied the effects you want, you can download the worked photo and still keep the original one.

applied 5 or 6 effects here - love picasa and picnik

I've heard of Gimp - never used it tho. Have to look into it more. You did a pretty good job on my photo darkening it a little.

Hi Photonut - checked out GIMP and to be honest - didn't like it. We all have our own favorites soo.......whatever we feel comfy with. I used to work with photo elements 7 but that got to be a little too complicated for me. I could do the simple, pretty easy stuff but the more I'd try to do, the more I messed up. hahaha With picasa I use the picnik program more than anything. I love how you can apply 5 or 6 effect settings and come out with something really good.

ok Prestonphoto, what ever makes it easy for you, frankly I
don't know how to work a lot of the stuff on gimp ether,
picasa is easy and picnik has about all you need anyway.
I like my photos to look natural with just a little something
to make it pop. photonut.p.s keep sending them in
