I have the cc cloud $9.99 a month, I upgraded couple weeks ago to cc 2014, now my "nik" google is not in PS CC 2014, when I open it! how do I get it back,? it is in PS CC,
when I open it, I do not want to open "yet" another program to post process!!
AND, should I delete PS cc OR, does it still do stuff that 2014 does not do?

Use PS CC. Most plugins that are not complaint with CC 2014 are dead in the water.

This works for Windows 7: navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Plug-ins, select all the folders and files under that folder and copy them into C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Plugins. I did this and they all work fine.

thank you Bob.. that did work.. most of the time I hear , delete and reinstall. which always leads to problems!! {for me anyways}
so I imagine that will work with any new plug in??!
so now delete PS cc? or does it still have setting that will work? or does PScc 2014 completely replace it?

I never use PS CC anymore, but I have not deleted it yet .... but that's coming in the near future. It's like, once you get hooked on new software, you can't go back. But I fully intend to bring all my filters with me when I step forward. If they don't work, I'll keep working in the older version.

If you want to do oil painting, you're going to have to use a third party filter. Adobe discontinued it in PS CC 2014 because the "Oil Painting support team" disbanded, so they will no longer include it in their future products.

As far as I know, the install did nothing to port over third party filters. It seems to me when I first went to PS CC, I had to do the same thing, bringing them in from CS6.

I just upgraded to CC2014 and I am using NIK. I bought Color Efex and Google gave me the rest. When I switched I went to where the NIK file was on the computer and copied the file from there. All works just fine.

Mine quit working too. Sent an email to Google. They sent me a link to reinstall Nik software. Did it. All works fine in both PS CC And Ligtroom. I had to copy my Topaz plugins from old PS CC plugin file to PS CC 2014 plugin file but now they work fine.

All the plugin companies I use (NIK, Topaz, OnOne) have instructions on their sites about how to deal with this dilemma via reinstall or copy/paste. The new cc2014 allegedly has a very different architecture than our last version, even though it looks much the same, so everything that was "extra" has to be put back in, it can't migrate itself. It was a pretty painless process that did not involve having to re-enter codes, and all worked on the first try.
