Nicely done....the sun isn't overpowering, and the framing of the sun by the wheat (or whatever it is...I was born in the city so i don't know) looks good. The tallest stalk of wheat runs along the right side "3rds" line and it; along with the sun make for two interest points.

Nice image.

Truly a nice job, In referring to you as a youngster, I took the 1929 to be your birth year. I was born in 1924 and a retired Marine Aviator, I say that because I see you like flying. Just wish I could still burn holes in the clouds,

Best to you and yours,

Major

Yes, your assumption was correct. I will be 83 in February. Still ticking. Thanks for your interest.

Nice image.

Thanks for your comments. Frankly, I do not pay too much attention to that "3rds" rule. There is much more to effective composition that a few rules. In arranging this shot, I was more concerned with balance than other features. Neverthe less, your comments were perceptive and I appreciate them.

Thanks for the comment. Virginia Beach is a great place, but too urban for me. I am a country boy at heart. Thanks again.
