Taken with new 70d and just purchased 24-105L lens. Everyone talks about L lenses and quality glass. (wasn't sure I would be able to tell the difference). I've taken this same basic shot previously, I do think this one is sharper. Opinions

Not having seen your previous image, cannot compare, but this one is crystal clear...spot on. Have snatched it for a digital jigsaw puzzle, it is so perfect. If you object please let me know and will delete.

This version is definitely VERY sharp, well-composed and exposed!!
Would also make a good starting point for some pseudo-HDR effects and tone-mapping.

I concur, I hear quite often that good glass doesn't really make that big of a difference.................I respectfully disagree

the proof is in the eye receptors

Really good glass is worth every penny! Your 70D is also high performance! You should continue to get wonderful results as long as you tend to your part of the job!

You had all the elements working in your favor - the sun the wind the gear and the settings - Very good image. This looks to be a subject that deserves a 4 season shoot.

Really good choice, the 24-105 Canon lens is one of the best tele lens I have ever owned, Im sure you will come to love it.
