Along the ANAMUS RIver on the DURANGO-Silverton RR
This cloud hung there for several miles.
The Aspens were turning yellow.

Weather and its children are wonderful to watch. High elevation can often put the viewer up close and personal to cloud types that at lower elevations are quite a bit farther away.

thank you for visiting Durango and riding the train. Hope you had a great time in this very special town and area. Come back in the fall when the train has a photographers special.....they stop let people off and do set shots against the cliffs, river, trees etc.

My second on taking one of the photographer's specials on the D&S RR.Fall and winter both great.Railfest in the summer brings in some rare and interesting equipement.While in Colorado find and drive the Last Dollar Road for some great locations.

in the fall check out the back road to Telluride - up through Dolores and Rico - much cheaper than a flight to Switzerland!

Nice photos. I have only been to Colorado 2 times but loved it each time. So peaceful and beautiful. Only other place I found with mountains that is that beautiful is the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.
