Hi James

I don't think that you beat B&H. I buy camera's and accessories from them on a regular basis. I don't think you can beat their service and return policies.I have never had a bad experience with them.

while were talking about other than oem parts, I'm getting ready to order some gadgets for my Nikon D7100. Should i buy a Watson el-en battery or the Nikon EL-Battery what about the battery grip by Vello oe get the Nikon battery grip, My flash that i'm going to get is going to be the SB910 by Nikon. all the other things or gadgets won't matter much about name brand;

Definitely the Nikon battery, the price difference is too small. The grip is more of a toss-up, the Vello should be ok, but I prefer the Nikon grips.

If you are set on buying a battery grip. I can tell this,I just bought the vello grip 2wks ago. I personally do not care for it. It is more of a pain in the rear end than it is worth. I personally just bought a couple of extra batteries. Buy the way go with the Nikon battery.

I joined up to the group a few months back and follow it regularly. We have many talented and knowledgable people here. I am going to be looking to purchase a new, refurbished or used camera as soon as I can. I am retired and don't have a lot of extra money to work with so I need to be careful. I would like to know, what company would be the best to buy from. I have looked at some cameras advertised by "B&H Photo" and also some from "Adorama" as well as some others. I have had no personal experience with any of them. Does anyone here have any experience doing business with these two? Are they trustworthy and reliable? Also are there any other companies you have worked with and would recommend so I could check and see what they have to offer. I would go to a camera store locally if we had any, but we don't have any now. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated, I just want to be sure I am dealing with someone reputable. Thanks. :)

Consumer Reports rates B&H as one of the top on-line businesses in the country. They are comparing all retailers. B&H and Adorama are the type of store if you have a problem, it was most likely YOUR fault. They both are that good. They are both great photography centers. They both are represented on this board quite well. They are sort of like family.
