Most people who get to see the feats of the Blue Angels do not get a chance to see the ceremony that surrounds their appearance. Here are a few photos of what takes place before takeoff. The pilots arrive as a group and parade down the line of planes, each one peeling off as they reach theirs. Every move of crew and pilots is precise.
Fat Albert is their equipment plane, often appearing as part of the show.

Thank you....we try. We'll get another shot at the Blue Angels around Memorial Day...with much better equipment and lenses..if the weather is good...we should do better.

They are amazing aren't they. I think the best place to see them Memorial Day is at field four right at the water line.

The weather that day was awful, partly cloudy, slight fog, not optimal for picture taking.
Field four (right near the area they set up if they have jumpers) is where we'll be.
