This run was up 20 Mile River, just north of Hwy A1 and Portage Glacier Road.
The boats were small boats with the Berkley Jet Pump. No propellers.
The wow factor was the ride up & down the river as well as the glaciers and icebergs.
It was hard to capture the wow factor with a still camera.
The ride was really smooth as my Wife & I sat in the back of the boat.
If you ever get up there, consider a jet boat run. I enjoyed it very much!!
Also, check utube for jet boat rides, Alaska.
In the images there are several that go together. The driver does get close to the river banks....
Look for second post, Part 2. It has the icebergs!

This one didn't have a name. The only access is by river. There were 2 boats. They made 2 trips that day. Only about 20 people saw this on this day. No road access that I know of.
You can Google maps and find Portage Lake. Go Directly north over the mountain and there are 2 lakes. The second one is gray looking and you can see the glacier. You Follow the river down to Turnagain Arm.
