I hope I can describe this well enough. My question...while I was just in Florida, I went to Ding Darling. I bought some postcards from there with bird pictures on them. The picture was printed in a recessed area, or a "debossed" area. I would like to know if anyone here knows of an online site that does that kind of work? I did send an email to the name on the back of the photo card but did not receive a reply.
Thanks,
Marsha

Can you take a picture of the card and post here? I'm not sure what you are describing.

Okay, I think you should be able to see well enough from these.
Backside shows the area pretty good from the recessed area on the front where the picture is.
Thanks for responding....Marsha

Pixelpixie, this looks like a regular mat to me? You can purchase those at any retailers who sell mats. Craft stores, hobby lobby, even wal-mart sell regular mats. Thanks for posting the pics. I'm sorry to not be more help. You can order mats on-line, just google it. Lots of places sell them in various sizes.

Hi..this is a solid piece of cardstock. Unlike mats with the center cut out. Is that something that you have seen at places that sell mats? If so, I'll take a run down to our framing store today and ask if they do this.
Thanks for your help.

Now i understand how it looks! And, no I've not seen it.....so the card has something that appears to be a mat, but actually it is all one piece. I suspect a card speciality shop, or you might try searching on-line at shops that sell printing supplies. Those look like they's be fun to use....might work for Christmas cards. Does the back look like regular post card back, with a place for address and a place for the note? If you find them, I would be interested in trying them out as well. Good Luck!

Google embossed card stock.

I'm guessing most scrap booking suppliers can help you.

Yes, they do look like they would be fun to use. The back doesn't really have too much writing on it. I suppose you could do as you wish with them. I have looked and looked online for something like this. No luck yet. I will let you know if I find them. Thanks again! Marsha

Thanks ShakyShutter. I have looked at that site and I'm going to do some more checking. From all my digging on this, I'm thinking that it could be a photo printing place and that they do the "debossing" along with the photo printing. Just a guess.

Thank you...that is exactly what I want but printed with my own photographs. I think in this case, you are buying the already printed cards. This is the same as the postcard I bought and I did write to them. They have not responded yet. Hopefully they will.
Thanks for taking the time to help! I do appreciate it.

You're welcome.

:-)

I think there was a contact link. Maybe you could contact them and find out how they do it or who they buy from.

I chatted online with a rep and they do these cards and you can order any size and they will print your photo/s on it.
