I don't remember the meteorology name for these clouds, but a lot of people photographed them and a tornado touched down about 6 mi. east.

Nice pictures, the last two have a interesting formation for sure. A tip for getting good cloud pics is to try to always get a bit of the ground in. Sometimes that means backing out on the shot but the ground will give the clouds reference and perspective.

Those are some angry skys, glad you weren't in the path of the tornado.

Anytime you can see clouds like this your lucky, for they are often occuring when visibility is non existant...and I call them prepare to duck and cover formation. Glad it missed you. Kind regards from Waco Texas where I watch clouds stuff in bad weather...L3

I couldn't shoot that low, too many houses and tree's around, if I had been at the U.S.A.F. Museum about 1/2mi away I could have.
