Love the awesome shaped tree trunks!

These are high country landscapes taken on Mt. Evans, just west of Denver. The trees are Bristlecone Pines and are said to be among the oldest living trees in existence. The trunks typically grow in a spiral as you'll see from one that's lying on the ground. I'll get us started off and please join me with your landscapes. I know there's some great ones out there.
These are fantastic. I guess I am going to have to go back to Colorado and spend a little more time there.

beautiful, I love them all, hard to pick a favorite.
Now I ask; which one left you the most winded after climbing up the rock to get the picture? I know you had to do some hiking to get some of those shots. ;-) which is why your in such good shape for a 50 year old. ;-) ;-) 8-)
some of my favorites, from Victoria, BC
one of my better landscape shots

Really like the tree shot! Here's a shot from California looking into Nevada. The mountain in the distance is Boundary Mountain and is Nevada's tallest mountain. The 2nd photo was taken near Lamoille, Nevada looking at the Ruby Mountains.
Love your first shot!

Gessman, these are absolutely BREATHTAKING!!!
I don't have anything to compare with these...
Tilde, I love the reflection shots. The water is like glass. I especially like the one with the geese? in it.

These are both beautiful but that last one really caught my eye.

Thank you ~. What a pleasure to see you back up and kickin' and thanks for your contribution here. I like all three and especially the second one with the glassy water and reflection, always one of my favorites. Are those cypress trees and are those close to you? I wasn't expecting to see cypress as far north as where you are. Don't know why particularly since I've not been there and don't know anything about the area. Just thought they were mostly farther south.

Ok here goes. I have revisited a few that I took this summer. With some of the things I have learned since UHH for PP here is what I have. Do you think I over did it?My favorite place in America as of right now. Yosemite.
G.....O.....R.....G....E......O.....U......S!!!!
Thank you. It has to be the most beautiful place in N. America, though my daughter, who lived up there for a year and a half said I haven't seen anything until I see the high country north of the valley.

The shot from Victoria is gorgeous. I love the reflection of the purple flowers. And it is all so nicely framed with the vines.
