The US Department of Justice has joined the discussions over a controversial float in the Norfolk Nebraska Independence Day Parade. The Department sent a member of its Community Relations Service team, which gets involved in discrimination disputes, to a Thursday meeting about the issue. Also at the meeting were the NAACP, the Norfolk mayor and The Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The Odd Fellows organized the parade. One of the floats included a zombie-like mannequin standing near an outhouse labeled "Obama Presidential Library". The float's creator Dale Remmich, has said the mannequin depicted himself, not President Obama. He said he is upset with the presidents handling of the Veterans Affairs Department. "Looking at the float, that message absolutely did not come throughout" said Betty C. Andrews, the president of NAACP branches in Iowa and Nebraska. It should be mentioned that the float won first prize for originality. As written in the Omaha World Herald. I note that the Justice Department has not seen fit to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate the IRS alleged cover up in the face of an order from a Judge for the IRS to produce evidence under oath as to the magical loss of Lois Lerner e-mails and the subsequent crash of Ms Lerner's computer hard drive as well as 7 other computers of those who may have received these e-mails. Clearly, the Outhouse situation deserves priority over these trivial phony trumped up charges against the most powerful governmental agency in the United States of America. I sure hope all the hog libs are able to digest this and offer their usual opinions. My take on it is that freedom of speech is evidently only applicable to selected proponents.
