Well, No one was quoted period. There was information presented by previous member of Congress.

I did a quick look at this site and I am guessing that it is a site about politics.

It is not a site about common sense or intelligence or doing the right thing for the right reasons.

Am I right? If so then why do we American voters really need this site?

You are correct Gene. Sadly politics has never been about common sense or intelligence or doing the right thing for the right reasons. It really has not changed since ancient Greece or Rome and I doubt it will ever change. I guess I would interpret the posts that you may be referring to to be about current events and how they relate to the extremely wide chasm between Liberal and Conservative members on the hog. Although I do not have supporting data, the group that in past considered themselves moderates has dwindled and may have either joined the Left or the Right or has decided to distance themselves from the entire mess.
