Anyone tried this?
Google play has a Canon app for android smart phones (I don't use a smart phone.) but states they don't guarantee it will work on Android tablets. One person posted that it worked on their Samsung tablet. I have a Nook HD+ with the Nook2Android double boot chip. Sure would be nice to see live view on a large screen for macro or moon shots while I manually focus.
Has anyone here used it on an android tablet? Did it work well enough to be worth trying?

Jerry,
I have shot my 6D several times using my iPhone or iPad to control and live view through the EOS Remote app. I can't imagine it would look or feel any different on android. Sometimes it pairs to my device effortlessly, sometimes pairing takes way too much attention away from getting the shot. Once paired it is a great tool. Try it, you'll like it.

I am not familiar with the 6D, but I did implement a low cost solution with my D800 on android, and it supports canon cameras as well. See my summary blogpost here:

Thanks for the info. Canon 6D (& 70D) already have wifi built in so all I need is software, that works, and that I can figure out(the big hurdle). I'll check out that software.

In the links there is reference to another software application, also free, that works exclusively with Canon. It may be worth checking out as well. The price is certainly right.
