Unable to upgrade LR 5.3 to LR 5-5

Good Morning Hog Friends!
Hope you can assist me with this. When I try to upgrade LR, it tells me "the signature _5_LS11win_5_5exe is corrupt or invalid.
I have no idea what to do.

PS I have coffee with ya'll every morning and have been for a long while now. Love the Hogs!!

Call Adobe's tech support. They are good to work with from my experiences with them. Not as good as Apple but good nonetheless.

I heartily endorse David's suggestion of Adobe Tech support, this sounds like yet another of 5.5 update problems.

The 'corrupted' piece of this appears to be the downloaded file that is used to perform the installation. You don't mention whether you're on a Mac or PC, but if on a PC, you can go to your "downloads" folder (where this is varies with the version of Windows you're using) and delete the file whose name most closely resembles the 'corrupted' file.
Then, start the upgrade process again. I'm betting the download messed up in some way, corrupting the file as it did so.

Sorry for the problem but apparently this is an issue with an update to Internet Explorer. Check out this link: https://connect.microsoft.com/IE/feedback/details/800433/kb2870699-breaks-ie-msi-signature-validation
As suggested, call Microsoft support.
As a workaround, you might try downloading with Firefox (a free browser) that should not have this issue.

Thank you for your reply. I have a PC and I tried what you advised and started over again....did not work. Will call Adobe tomorrow.

I may just have to do that if I can not get this resolved, Thank you for taking the time to assist me in this matter.

For what it's worth I installed it yesterday on a PC with Windows 8 and there were no issues.

Check the file if you can find it to make sure there is a period before "exe"!
