Issue: cannot email photos directly from Picasa
I have been a Picasa user for years and use it for the first few steps of my post processing - i.e. transferring images to my PC and quick vetting. It has also is a quick way to share photos via email where it re-sizes the selected photos for easy emailing.
Suddenly ... emailing function does not work. "an error occurred when trying to email. Try again later"
No changes or downloads, restored PC to an earlier system restore point ...
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Since it says to try again later, seems like might be something with gmail. I was able to successfully send a photo through Picasa an hour and 35 minutes after you posted your topic, so hopefully you'll be up and running soon.
Thanks - it has been like this for a week as I research. Something (I believe) with setting a default email client. I have Gmail but the tech forums struggle with setting it as a defualt (which I did not have to do previously).
Bottom line ... per Picasa Geeks website
http://picasageeks.com/?s=email&searchsubmit= I somewhat agree with their recommendation ... send a link from Google+ or PicasaWebAlbums and do not fill up your friends inbox with files.
Here is an added 'bonus' for responding (grin). I have been using a site
https://tackk.com/ ... awesome mini-blog and photo sharing webpage - free (register or not) after cleaning up my photos and resizing. (threw this

It happened to me a few weeks ago and this is what I did.
All's fine now!

Thank you: sign out and back in solved the issue. Check out Tackk that I referenced ... pretty neat. I do like Picasa.
FYI: I even restored a system image from a iso made with CloneZilla (but it did not address the sing in solution) Thanks again.
