Let me see...how does that compare with the $3.7 Billion proposed by the WH for "solving" our humanity crisis on the border?
The sad truth is that all of Washington has lost any common sense about spending.
too bad the repubs voted to cut spending on defenses of our embassies...
could have avoided the whole mess
It's well worth it to find out the evil created by the Obama's. Guess you still believe that the attack was caused by a video.

You seem to be assuming what I believe. Please show where I said that.
Hell, what are you crying about that is less than 1/2 the costs that we pay when the Obama's kids run off on spring break.

"About the only merit conservatives have in their Benghazi hysteria is the notion that security was inadequate at our diplomatic mission in that city.
Unfortunately, it's an inadequacy Republicans have been trying to exacerbate over the last year.
[A]s part of the Republican majority that has controlled the House the last two years, Mr. Issa joined in cutting nearly a half-billion dollars from the State Departments two main security accounts. One covers things like security staffing, including local guards, armored vehicles and security technology; the other, embassy construction and upgrades. In 2011 and 2012, President Obama sought a total of $5 billion, and the House approved $4.5 billion.
Utah teabagging Rep. Jason Chaffetz has been a leading proponent of Benghazi conspiracy theories, yet even he isn't shy to proclaim his votes against diplomatic security:
OBRIEN: Is it true that you voted to cut the funding for embassy security?
CHAFFETZ: Absolutely. Look, we have to make priorities and choices in this country.
Their priorities have consequences. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton (among others) had long warned Republicans that they were weakening national security by cutting, well, security. Back in February of 2011:"

That is such Bullshit! I guess that it matters little to you that the decision maker, Charlene Lamb, who refused the added security in Benghazi testified before congress and when directly asked if budgets contributed to the decision making process in the denials her answer was "No" that budgets had nothing to do with it!
But you and the Daily Kos are hardly interested in the truth, that is quite obvious.
The Benghazi witch hunt will progress as the regressives want it to. Their goal is twofold, to tarnish Obama and to make it so hard on Hillary, she'll decide not to run. They'll fail as usual. No, not just because they're true buttheads but because they are going to come to the same conclusion. If they were wise, they'd put Benghazi to bed but that's if they're wise, we all know they're dumber than a pile of rocks. There's a better than even chance that the American people will hold this against the Repubs. ...And so it goes...

The truth is budget cuts effect everything. Also intelligence, lack of of intelligence and many other factors are involved.
Who do you think is to blame for this unfortunate incident?

Budget cuts effect everything? I don't think so. I don't see it effecting handouts to all the illegal criminals flowing over our southern borders. They're being taken care of at taxpayer's expense no matter the cost. The federal government needs to put Americans first not last, regardless of budget cuts.

I think that mistakes were made largely based on some fantasy foreign policy theory and in the end accountability was, as is always the case with this administration, withheld.... The biggest problem that I have with Benghazi is not that mistakes were made but that Obama, Clinton, and his entire administration not only lied directly and purposefully to the American people but that they continue to do so today.

A little off topic. We have been discussing protecting Americans on foreign soil.
